If you have a car it is only an hour and a half to drive to Slovenia's famed historic capital,Ljubljana.

We will provide you details on how to get there and back from the house. For this day trip you would be picked up from the house by your personal guide and driven to Ljubljana for a walking tour of its celebrated attractions. After this you will be free to wander, shop and have lunch. In the afternoon you will be taken to the Castle that stands above Ljubljana where you will be given a tour. Finally you will be transferred back to the house in Kanal in time for dinner.

From our house in Kanal it is only a 25 minute car ride to the train station in Nova Gorica where you then take the train to Venice (approximately two hours). Alternatively, it is but an hours drive to Piran and from there you may take a ferry or catamaran directly into Venice without the worry of car parking

You will be shown the historic centre visiting world famous sites such as Campo San Polo, Ponte Rialto, Piazza San Marco to name but a few.
